Sahara Group - visit to Pakistan

Half Term Success at City High Community Sport Centre

barbecueth.jpgDuring recent half-term, young people took part in various activities. Youngsters took part in multi-sport activities at the City High Community Sports Centre, enjoying cricket, football and other pastimes. Trips to Newmillerdam and Sandal Castle were also organised with children enjoying a barbecue at Newmillerdam.

Kwik Cricket Course

majcricket2.gifCity High Community Sport Centre in partnership with (ECB) England Cricket Board and Sandal Cricket Club are for the first time running a kwik cricket course. Young people aged 8 – 13 are welcome to come along and enjoy the sessions which will be coached by staff.

Cricket School of Excellence

The Next Generation Community Youth Project in partnership with Lightwaves Leisure Centre,soe06.jpg Yorkshire Cricket Board and Azaad Cricket Club are again running a cricket school of excellence. Anybody between the ages of 7-16 is welcome and it only costs 50 pence per session. In return you will receive top class coaching from qualified coaching staff. You don’t have to be a great player, we welcome anyone with an interest in the game. The sessions will be held on Saturdays from 12pm till 2pm at Lightwaves Leisure Centre. The course will help develop your bowling, batting and fielding techniques and help you develop your knowledge of the game. Playing equipment will be provided.

Cricket School of Excellence 2006

azkids.jpgThe Cricket School of Excellence run by Next Generation and sponsored by YCB will start on Saturday 18th February 2006 for 8 weeks. The sessions will run from 12pm to 2pm and there will be a small charge for each session. Junior players of all abilities are welcomed. Watch this space for more details.
